Gordon has nearly 40 years’ experience in the construction industry predominantly as a quantity surveyor and project manager. Over the last 6 years, he has worked for Kier Construction’s Scottish business in the role of Regional Business Development Manager. In this role, Gordon has helped more than double the size of the business in this time and helped to position Kier as a major player in the Scottish market. He has also been involved in various profile raising initiatives within Kier, as well as helping to develop their Community Benefits programme in conjunction with their social impact team.
Amanda Wright MA(Hons) graduated in Social Policy from University of Edinburgh. She has worked in the construction industry for almost seven years, having previously worked in both the financial and third sector industries. She has successfully delivered community benefit and social value clauses both in Scotland and England. She is the manager of Kier Construction Scotland’s social impact team. She works closely with local authority’s social policy and procurement departments and organisations such as CITB and Skills Development Scotland to ensure that community benefits are tailored to the needs of local communities and that Kier projects in Scotland leave a lasting legacy.
Jean has over 20 years’ experience in environmental and economic development, spanning professional practice and the corporate arena. Experienced in environmental assessment, consenting and regulation including the provision of environmental advice in support of commercial transactions, Jean has undertaken environmental assessments across a vast range of sectors across the UK and in Europe.
She has worked with leading UK and international names on major mixed-use development schemes, master-plans and brownfield regeneration as well as significant rail and energy infrastructure.
