Framework Manager - Morrison Construction
Having started in construction as a Trainee Site Manager at 18 years old and subsequently moved through contractor, consultant and client side roles, I am now back in the Main Contractor world and enjoying being in the area of industry which led me to really love my career in construction. I have worked in main stream construction in the UK and Australia, and also worked in temporary construction for large scale sports events in Glasgow and Toronto. I now lead the pre-construction phases of mostly education projects for public sector clients in Central Scotland. Most recently I have worked on the new West Calder High School in West Lothian, a new £32m school building with £5m road access bridge over a nearby railway.
“A diverse workforce, makes for a diverse place to work. Diversity creates a more interesting place to work, increases business’ appeal to new clients, brings more opportunities to the business and individual employees and ultimately delivers a happy workforce. What is not to love about that?”
