David is a fellow of CIOB and a member of APM and has 35 years’ experience in the built environment industry across a variety of sectors including education, healthcare, commercial and retail and has joined the University, within the last year, from the private sector bringing a wealth of knowledge of public sector capital projects including seven years’ as Director of Technical Advisory Services to NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde on the recently completed Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow.
Within the Estates & Buildings Department at University of Glasgow David has responsibility for the internal and external resource, managing the delivery of all projects across the University property portfolio. This includes the redevelopment of the, 14.5 acre, former Western Infirmary site at the west end of the Gilmorehill campus as part of the wider masterplan.
A strong leader, with a collaborative approach, David promotes the building of diverse teams for successful delivery.
