Assistant Site Engineer - Graham
I studied Civil Engineering at both Honours and Masters level at the University of the West of Scotland before undertaking the role of Assistant Site Engineer with Graham in October 2017. My first year has given me a great insight into the world of construction allowing me to build upon the skills and knowledge I gained throughout my academic career. I am currently on a £20 million contract, building a swimming pool testing facility and hope to see the project through to completion and have an input in every aspect of the project before moving on to my next challenge.
“Long gone are the days when construction was restricted solely for men, the number of women and young girls showing an interest in stereotypically male professions is on the rise and this rise needs to continue. It is still a male dominated industry but this is slowl but surely beginning to change and the only way this can be done is by encouraging other women and young girls at how exciting of a work place it is to be a part of! I’ve been in my role for a year now and love every day! No day is the same and each brings its own challenges which keeps you motivated and making sure you give your best at everything you do!”
