Programme Manager – Sustainable Energy Supply Chain
Ian Cuthbert is responsible for the Energy Saving Trust’s supply chain activities to help ensure Scottish suppliers benefit from the large amount of spend coming from the Scottish Government’s Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland, ECO and renewables. This work was set up in 2013 and involves supporting Scottish businesses to gain skills, training and certifications required to work in the energy efficiency and renewables markets. Prior to this role, Ian was UK Microgeneration Manager at the Energy Saving Trust, responsible for the Trust’s renewable and low carbon technology activities including UK government policy areas such as RHI and FITs. Ian was also involved with UK-wide field trials and supply chain development activities to increase the number of MCS certified companies in the UK.
Ian has a bachelors degree in physics from Dundee University and a masters degree in energy from Heriot-Watt University and previously worked for the Institute of Physics on their training and communication programmes to promote science and engineering.
