Skills Planning Manager for the North and Construction
Stephen joined Skills Development Scotland, The Scottish Governments National Skills Agency In June this year. He is responsible for national engagement with the construction Sector and attends the Construction Scotland Industry Leadership group and other key Industry groups to inform the delivery and development of the Construction Skills Investment Plan.
Stephen started his career in the Construction Industry as an Architectural Technician and has 18 year management experience in education, training and qualifications gained in a range of roles, from working with CITB as their Area Manager for the Highlands & Islands and then as Scottish Qualifications Manger. Stephen recently was employed by the University of the Highlands and Islands to lead a project to develop and Implement new work based learning based Foundation and Graduate Level Apprenticeships across the region.
In addition Stephen is a Director of YES Works a Social Enterprise which delivers high quality business support services, training and incubation to early stage businesses and is also a Board Member of several Developing the Young Workforce Boards in Moray and the Highlands areas.
