  • A&DS, with partners, is exploring the idea of ‘Caring Places’ as a thematic approach to town centre living – looking at the changing needs of care and an ageing population and opportunities for placemaking
  • Town Centres offer opportunities to re-use, repurpose and retrofit existing buildings, create walkable communities and to create socially sustainable places with intergenerational housing
  • Through a series of workshops and event A&DS has identified 10 principles for a Caring Place
  • This presentation will look at the background, current findings and the future opportunities for creating sustainable communities in our town centres
